I was 25 when I picked up my first SLR camera— a hobby I started simply to break up the monotony of the day-to-day grind.

At the time, I felt stuck. Disconnected from myself. Like a robot just going through the motions, working in corporate America without any real sense of purpose or joy. Little did I know, that small spark — that simple act of choosing something just for me — would change the entire course of my life.

Back then, I was still deep in the corporate world — living it, breathing it, pouring my heart into a company that, in the end, laid me off. At the time, it felt devastating. It rocked my identity and left me questioning everything.

But what I couldn’t see then was that it wasn’t the end. It was the beginning. That push, that painful moment of loss, was actually a divine redirection — one that forced me to finally step into what was always meant for me: a life of entrepreneurship, creativity, freedom, and impact. When I am doing what I love, I thrive. I am not a woman meant to build someone else’s dream. I am a woman meant to nurture my own — and help others do the same.
